As we age, our skin gradually loses its natural elasticity which can lead to the areas, particularly around the lips and nose, to appear more folded and wrinkled. Dermal fillers are entirely non-animal, naturally occurring products that can be injected underneath the surface of the skin to help provide support for the skin, so smoothing out the wrinkles and folds.

Sometimes, particularly as a person gets older, the lips may gradually become less full and thinner. By injecting fillers into the lips they can be enhanced to give them a fuller appearance. In certain circumstances the lips themselves will need to be injected, and sometimes the fine lines above the lips (particularly in smokers) will need to be injected to remove the lines and smooth out the skin. We are also able to perform lip plumping for people who wish their lips to be fuller and plumper.

To make things more comfortable, we will either use a filler combined with a local anaesthetic or a local anaesthetic cream prior to your treatment.
